Under construction: Bradford University

Working on behalf of BAM Construction, B & K Structures is manufacturing and installing a hybrid glulam and steel glazed roof structure to enclose the central courtyard on the refurbishment of the existing communal building at the University of Bradford.

Value engineered by B & K Structures the hybrid option offered the most economic and aesthetic solution for this prestigious project.

Designed by Leeds architects Watson Batty the refurbishment will provide three levels, including a new second floor Students’ Union level.

With phase 1 handed over B & K Structures is now manufacturing and installing Phase 2 with completion programmed for 2011.
